Tippecanoe: Tecumseh's Turning Point

Native American Initiatives is pleased to present “Tippecanoe:  Tecumseh's Turning Point”

A talk given by R. David Edmunds (Cherokee), Watson Professor of American History at the University of Texas at Dallas

Professor Edmunds will discuss the Battle of Tippecanoe as the opening battle of the War of 1812, and will also discuss how the battle changed the nature of the Native American resistance movement since the it marks the downfall of the Prophet's influence as the movement becomes much more secular and less centralized.
